Tile is one of the four roof types we install, priced at $1,075 per square for concrete tile and $1,175 per square for clay tile installed, with jobs starting at $10,000. Santafe clay tile is made in Colombia, and we also install Eagle Roofing tile alongside Owens Corning and Englert systems.
Republic installs new tile, metal, flat, and shingle roofs, including replacement of those four types. That is the roofing work. We roof Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach only. We do not roof Martin, St. Lucie, and the Gulf Coast counties, where windows and doors are still offered.
New roofs start from $10,000 (minimum job). The final quote depends on the type and on what that county requires. In South Florida, tile lasts up to 25–30 years, metal lasts 40 or more, shingle lasts 15–20, and flat roof lifespan depends on the membrane system and drainage.
Labor on a roof replacement is 10 years. Flat roofs are warranted 5–10 years. Product warranties vary by manufacturer. Brands include Eagle, Santafe, Owens Corning, and Englert. Santafe tile is made in Colombia, and not every roofing product is made in the USA.
Shingle roofs are often one to three days. Tile and metal are often three to five, and flat roof timelines depend on the roof size and membrane system. We pull the permit. In Miami-Dade and Broward, the building department checks a re-roof before the work and again after. If your roof was built to the 2007 Florida Building Code or later, only the damaged part has to be replaced to current code, even when it's 25% or more of the roof (§553.844(5), FBC Existing Building 706.1.1). Older roofs can still need the whole section replaced, and Florida insurers evaluate roof age alongside condition under §627.7011(5).
